Lola Maria will officially open on 3 November 2026 on Gilly Street in Wan Chai, marking the launch of its second restaurant following the first on Hollywood Road, bringing a fresh Spanish dining destination to this vibrant community.
New Restaurant Design and Atmosphere
The new space continues the distinctive features of the Hollywood Road flagship while incorporating a more relaxed dining atmosphere. Lola Maria Wan Chai will operate all day, offering lunch and dinner services, making it an ideal gathering place in the area. Whether for a leisurely lunch, an after-work gathering, or a weekend food sharing experience, guests can enjoy a pleasant time here.
Innovative Menu and Local Flavours
Chef Edgard Sanuy Barahona stated that this new branch is not merely a replication of past successes but aims to create a unique story within the Wan Chai community. In terms of the menu, in addition to retaining signature dishes from Hollywood Road, several Wan Chai-exclusive dishes will be introduced, prioritising the use of fresh local ingredients to demonstrate a connection and commitment to the community.
The new menu includes Spanish tapas (Pintxos), cured meats, seafood and meat small plates, as well as Spanish seafood noodles (Fideuà) and vegetarian options. Notable recommended dishes include:
- Spanish Chorizo Potato Foam with Poached Egg (HK$65): A slow-cooked egg yolk that flows out upon piercing, paired with Spanish chorizo seasoned with smoked paprika, offering a salty and warming taste.
- Lobster Rice (HK$350): A rich rice dish enhanced with lobster broth, providing layers of sweetness and creaminess.
- Gilly Street Fruit Cocktail Salad (HK$105): Featuring fresh ingredients from local markets, showcasing regional flavours.
Lola Maria Wan Chai will provide all-day dining services, covering lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch menus, allowing guests to experience the unique charm of Spain at different times of the day.
