This page explains how The Styli’s content is made: where the material comes from, how we check it, and where we use AI.
Sourcing
Most articles are based on press releases, product information and event details supplied by brands or their agencies. Those articles carry a label at the top of the text identifying the source.
Receiving a press release does not mean we will publish it. Whether to run it, from what angle and at what length are editorial decisions.
Where AI is used
We use AI to help process source material: reading it, extracting the facts, and drafting structure and copy. AI does not decide what gets published, and it does not generate content where there is no source. Everything is reviewed by a person before it goes out.
We do not use AI-generated photography, and we do not use AI to fabricate first-hand testing or attendance.
Fact-checking
Prices, dates, addresses and product names follow the source material. Where the source is silent we do not fill the gap from guesswork or from what other outlets have written — we say it has not been announced.
If two sources for the same thing contradict each other, we check with the source before publishing. If we cannot, we do not publish.
Disclosure
Every article is labelled with one of:
Brand-supplied — rewritten from a press release. We were not paid.
Sponsored — the brand paid for the placement. Outbound links in these articles are marked as sponsored links.
Editorial — written by us, with no financial relationship.
