TATE is set to host a unique culinary feast focusing on the characteristics and craftsmanship of premium Korean Hanwoo beef and Handon pork. This event, a collaboration between Chef Vicky Lau and Korean meat master Lim Chi-Ho, will officially launch on 16 October 2026, becoming a highlight in Hong Kong’s culinary scene.

Exploring the Essence of Premium Korean Meats

This event marks the first entry of Jeju Hanwoo and Jeju Handon into Hong Kong’s high-end dining market, supported by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and other institutions. The event will delve into the meat cutting techniques, sourcing origins, and modern high-end dining perspectives, allowing participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of the uniqueness of these premium ingredients.

Unique Flavours of Hanwoo and Handon

Jeju Hanwoo is a rare breed of cattle native to Korea, renowned for its delicate marbling and rich meat aroma. These cattle graze in the pristine environment of Jeju Island, showcasing a distinctive flavour.

On the other hand, Jeju Handon is widely praised for its tenderness and refreshing taste, with these pigs raised on mineral-rich volcanic farms, resulting in sweet and juicy meat.

Presentation of Exquisite Dishes

To highlight the exceptional quality of Hanwoo and Handon, TATE and MORA have specially launched distinctive signature dishes. TATE’s signature dish features a 1++ grade ribeye steak served with a clear beef jus and black truffle sauce, accentuating its delicate marbling and rich meat aroma; while MORA presents a pineapple tofu stew with Handon, showcasing the pork’s tenderness and refreshing flavour.

PlanNew focuses on connecting local Korean producers with international chefs and is dedicated to promoting authentic Korean cuisine.
