I-O-N in Wong Chuk Hang has recently launched a new themed buffet called ‘Beef Odyssey’, inspired by Southeast Asian flavours, allowing diners to explore the textures and tastes of different cuts of beef through a series of meticulously crafted signature dishes. This buffet features a seasonal strawberry dessert series, offering a rich and diverse culinary exploration.

Buffet Signature Dishes

The journey of the ‘Beef Odyssey’ buffet begins with refreshing appetisers. Guests can enjoy Thai-style green papaya salad with grilled beef, a dish that combines crunchy green papaya, herbs, and tender grilled beef, creating a rich interplay of sour, sweet, and salty flavours. Additionally, the Vietnamese beef and pomelo salad cleverly combines juicy pomelo flesh, aromatic herbs, and tender beef for a refreshing taste experience.

For the main courses, the restaurant presents a variety of beef dishes, allowing diners to explore the unique charm of beef from different angles. The slow-cooked red wine braised beef cheek is tender and infused with a rich sauce; the typhoon shelter fried beef short ribs exude a garlicky and slightly spicy aroma that is mouthwatering; the Sichuan-style dry pot beef tongue is tender, enhanced by the spicy and fragrant Sichuan seasoning; while the deep-fried beef belly is golden and crispy on the outside, with juicy meat inside, providing a delightful contrast in texture.

Desserts and Other Culinary Options

To balance the rich meaty flavours, the buffet features a seasonal strawberry dessert series, including strawberry mascarpone cheese mousse, coconut strawberry pudding cups, and strawberry pandan cupcakes, sweetly concluding the feast. Additionally, the buffet offers a variety of culinary options such as iced seafood, a salad bar, Japanese sashimi and sushi, and a signature noodle soup bar.

For groups of 12 or more guests who book the buffet dinner through Nina Boutique, a complimentary crispy fried chicken will be provided. The buffet prices are as follows:

  • Monday to Friday: Lunch (Adult) HK$358, (Senior) HK$298, (Child) HK$278; Dinner (Adult) HK$488, (Senior) HK$388, (Child) HK$368.

The holiday buffet lunch is available on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, while the buffet dinner is open daily from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

In addition to the buffet experience, I-O-N has also launched a weekday lunch set menu, providing a convenient and hearty lunch option for busy urbanites, with set prices starting from HK$98, plus a service charge, which includes one appetiser, one main course, and coffee or tea.
