Levi’s® has once again partnered with Japanese fashion brand sacai to launch their third collaboration series, further deepening their relationship based on founder Chitose Abe’s unique approach to deconstructing and reimagining denim classics. This series centres around a mixed reconstruction aesthetic, pushing denim classics into new realms.
Highlights of the New Collection
The new Levi’s® x sacai collaboration series features 12 unisex pieces, focusing on four core styles:
- Sherpa Jacket
- Blouson Jacket
- Belted Wide Pants
- Belted Flare Pants
Each piece is available in both original indigo and washed indigo options, embodying sacai’s signature mixed aesthetic by cleverly combining distinctly different materials to reconstruct familiar garment patterns, resulting in unexpectedly fresh silhouettes.
Core Design Details
The Sherpa Jacket features a relaxed fit, continuing the indigo selvedge detailing, with the outer layer wrapped in Sherpa and complemented by a genuine leather pocket design. The unisex versions share the same design language, with the men’s style uniquely adding side bone pockets not found in the women’s version.
The Blouson Jacket presents a more streamlined silhouette, equipped with sacai’s iconic sleeve pocket design, while the women’s version includes side bone slits. The cuffs and hem are finished with elastic, creating a sculptural three-dimensional outline.
For the lower pieces, the Belted Wide Pants offer a mid-rise loose cut, embellished with sacai’s custom buttons at the pocket openings. The Belted Flare Pants feature a standard waistline and flared cut, with additional inset back pockets, forming a unique seven-pocket design.
Release Information
The latest Levi’s® x sacai collaboration series will first be available on 29 September at the Levi’s® x sacai pop-up store in Hong Kong Plaza. From 30 September, the collection will be available on Levi’s® official online store Levi.com.hk, with a physical display area for trying on at Leighton Centre in Causeway Bay.
