Urban Coffee Roaster (UCR) officially opened its new takeaway concept store at the International Finance Centre (ifc mall) in Central on 26 August 2026. This marks the brand’s second location in Central and its sixth overall. The new store is situated in the heart of the city, connecting to key transport hubs like Hong Kong Station, providing a coffee space that blends modern aesthetics with convenience for busy professionals and travellers.
Four Premium Coffee Bean Selections
The ifc store offers four types of house-roasted espresso beans (House Coffee), allowing customers to choose based on their personal taste preferences or mood:
- Luxury Choice — Geisha (from HK$46): Features elegant white floral notes and bright citrus aromas, with a delicate Earl Grey sweetness in the finish.
- Classic Choice — Jumbo Jet (from HK$30): Designed for coffee lovers seeking a rich flavour, it boasts deep nutty and caramel aromas with a balanced taste.
- Signature Item — House Ethiopia (from HK$36): Bursting with fruity notes of passion fruit, blood orange, and red grape, showcasing the typical flavours of Ethiopian specialty coffee.
- High-Quality Decaf — Decaf (from HK$36): A decaffeinated coffee from Colombia, retaining the richness of molasses and chocolate.
Hong Kong's First Geisha Gelato
To celebrate the store opening, UCR has launched Hong Kong’s first Geisha Gelato (HK$58). This gelato is made from washed Geisha beans from Ethiopia and Colombia, offering elegant floral notes on the palate, perfectly balanced with honey sweetness, and leaving a lingering Earl Grey aroma, providing a refined taste experience for busy office workers.
Takeaway Coffee Cocktail Series
The ifc store also introduces five takeaway coffee cocktails (Coffee Cocktail) (from HK$68), including Coffee Eggnog, Coffee Colada, and the classic Irish Coffee series. These cocktails are personally developed by Gary Au, one of UCR’s founders and the sixth place winner in the 2025 World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, perfectly combining specialty coffee with the art of mixology.
