Pocari Sweat has officially launched its new advert ‘THE FUTURE NEEDS SWEAT’ for 2026, continuing the brand’s belief that ‘only sweat is true’, and has held open auditions for three consecutive years, allowing young dancers to showcase their youthful energy.
New Advert Concept and Content
The core idea of this advert is to break free from virtual connections and rediscover the movement and sensation of the real world. With the advancement of technology, the lines between virtual and reality have become increasingly blurred, yet the desire for authenticity among people has grown stronger. Set against the backdrop of a futuristic campus, the advert depicts how students regain their real vitality amidst digital experiences.
The female lead, Zoe, is a secondary school student passionate about dance, hoping to showcase her talent to the world through her art; the male lead, Bobo, is a nursing student who views dance as an outlet for stress relief. These young dancers poured countless sweat during the filming process, demonstrating their dedication to their dreams.
Perfect Combination of Dance and Visual Effects
Pocari Sweat invited renowned Japanese choreographers Kayo Noguchi and Nao Usui to design the dance framework, with Hong Kong instructors Siu and Maggie responsible for training, ensuring that the dancers could present their performance with a consistent rhythm and powerful energy. The advert also specifically chose local schools as filming locations, integrating CG technology to enhance the visual effects.
Additionally, the advert was shot by master photographer Atsuhiro Shirahata, capturing every determined moment of the dancers in motion, making each photograph full of youthful tension and impact.
