Hublot has officially unveiled two extraordinary timepieces, the Classic Fusion Balloon Dog and MP-14 Origin, in collaboration with renowned contemporary artist Jeff Koons on 16 September 2026 in New York. This partnership merges contemporary art with the excellence of Swiss watchmaking, showcasing the creative power of transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Classic Fusion Balloon Dog by Jeff Koons
The Classic Fusion Balloon Dog is a watch inspired by Jeff Koons’ iconic mirror-finish balloon sculpture, available in three versions: polished stainless steel, red anodised aluminium, and blue anodised aluminium. This timepiece not only transforms time into a tangible artistic expression but also reinterprets the boundaries of wearable art.
Jeff Koons stated that the challenge in designing this watch was to integrate the visual language of inflatable shapes into the Classic Fusion collection, completely reconstructing its structure to create an inflatable-like three-dimensionality and visual tension. Hublot’s CEO, Julien Tornare, also emphasised that this collaboration combines exceptional engineering with exquisite watchmaking craftsmanship, breaking traditional design principles to achieve an inflatable-like visual effect.
MP-14 Origin by Jeff Koons
The other timepiece, MP-14 Origin, is Hublot’s first automatic centre tourbillon watch, featuring a platinum structure made of sapphire, titanium, and set with gemstones, symbolising the birth of the universe. Limited to 30 pieces, this watch is not only a measure of time but also an exploration of the origins of time.
When discussing this watch, Jeff Koons mentioned that the MP-14 Origin quantifies energy into form, capturing the evolution of form into moments of time. Julien Tornare added that this watch showcases Hublot’s horological mastery while incorporating Koons’ artistic exploration of transformation and perception, resulting in extraordinary allure.
